On April 25, we proudly celebrated the grand opening of Tio’s Donuts with a beautiful ribbon-cutting ceremony surrounded by family, friends, and an incredibly supportive community.
Two years ago, we met Telésforo and Elena, who came to LEDA with a dream to open a donut shop rooted with 20+ years of experience. With support from Joliet LEDA, from crafting their business plan and securing a location to navigating permits and preparing for launch, Tío’s Donuts stands as a powerful story of perseverance, family, and community pride.
Thank you to the entire community for showing your support. Special thanks to the City of Joliet, Joliet City Center Partnership, Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Will County Executive Office for joining us and sharing words of encouragement.
A huge shoutout to the JTHS Transition Program students who joined us and brought so much positive energy to the celebration. And heartfelt thanks to those who traveled from near and far to be part of this special moment.
